Pure Nature with an Edge!
THE SUNSHINE PROJECT is a home for slum children in New Delhi. Today 260 children come in the morning and are helped with school, food, clothes etc etc. Children with very poor background have very small posibility to education without help. Children who are sent out on the street to beg and who nobody misses if they don´t return in the evening. The Sunshine project take care of them during daytime and make sure they get a proper education. Annica supports, visits and gathers money to the project. "It´s a fantastic feeling to meet these children. Children who have nothing and are thankful for little. Thanks to Kuku and his wife Pretti who runs the Sunshine project the children get love, care and friends. For Christmas we give money for buying long sleeve sweatshirts and new school bags, another year the money is used to give each child a warm blanket to bring home and new black shoes. By giving the children an opportunity to education they also have a future to a decent life. The main part of the money goes to daily expenses such as food, hygiene and school materials"
WOMEN! The mothers to many of the children are also facing a very hard life. They are financial dependent on their husbands and violence is common. To help the women to help themselves I have together with Kuku startet a project to offer work. They make small lovely bags made of Antique Sarees. Don´t forget to order the bag when you are placing your order. An income means more for these women than we can imagine!
